Hallucination or Delusion
What is the difference between a hallucination and a delusion?
Do you mix these terms up?
Hallucination begins with an “H” just as the word hearing does. Hallucinations take place using the senses. Hearing voices and seeing spiders are hallucinations.
Delusions begin with a “D” as in the word dreams. Delusions are those that are “dreamed up in one’s head”. Examples of a delusion would be believing the aliens are watching you or the FBI is spying through your TV.
Remember “H” or “D” and you will not mix these terms up again!
